Maybelline Baby Skin Review | Instant Pore Eraser

Maybelline Baby Skin Review

Hi Beauties!

So I in recently tracked down the Maybelline Baby skin, and I cannot rave about it enough! This product has proved extremely popular, as it was sold out in pretty much every store I tried (in New Zealand). I grabbed a tube at Farmers Department Store for $16NZD, but I later saw it for $11NZD at Countdown Supermarkets (Grrrr), so I would recommend getting it there instead!

I think that quite a few people have decided they dislike this product, but one thing to keep in mind is that its not a primer, but rather a pore eraser, and a great one at that!
Baby skin has a clear formula thats super lightweight and soothing on the skin-even the packaging's cute!

I have tested mine under foundation for 2 weeks, using it everyday and I have found it really does an amazing job blurring my pores, and giving my skin a much smoother base for foundation.  I personally have problem pores around my nose area, and these were dramatically reduced!

Overall I give this product a 9/10, and would absolutely purchase again!

Thanks for reading, and hope this helped!

Top lip colours for winter

Top lip colours for winter

Hi beauties!

So in New Zealand winter is coming up, and I thought I would share my top 5 lip colours for the winter, including a mix of some darker berry reds, and some pinky nudes, as well as lipsticks and lip glosses, just to mix it up a bit.

First up is a beautiful nudey pink, thats a bit your-lips-but-better. This is Gerard Cosmetics in buttercup, and I am super in love with colour and wear it most days. Its also one of those colours you don't have to worry about going everywhere. The photo is not really true to colour, making it seem a lot more orange.

This next lipstick is Mac pink plaid in a matte formula, and my absolute go to lipstick. it's perfect to dress up a look a little, but its still really natural looking, and does not budge.

Another Gerard cosmetics, but this time it's the Kylie Jenner lip colour, 1995. I am a huge fan of Jaclyn Hill, and love this colour. I think the one I received is a bit darker than it is supposed to be, but I love it for a deeper winter lip look.

Next up is a lipgloss, which I have just recently discovered and am in love with. This is Rimmel London Provocolips. It has the gloss at one end, which is a beautiful shade, and a lock and shine gel on the other end. now i'm not usually a fan of glosses but this gel makes the gloss dry like a lipstick while feeling really secure but not drying in the least. It actually feels super light-weight on the lips and is AMAZING. I totally recommend this lip gloss.

Another Rimmel London gloss, and this colour is to die for. the perfect winter red lip, its the Apocolips in 400 'big bang'. the colour is amazingly opaque, true to form, and really moisturising and hydrating for the lips which is a must have in winter.

These lip colours are wearable for every season, not just winter!

DIY | How to make your own terrarium, and washi tape wall prints

DIY | Terrariums and Wall prints

Hi Beauties!

So I have been wanting to create a terrarium for ages, and it's super simple and easy to do yourself!

Terrarium:

Step one:
Find you own terrarium.
I got mine for only $5NZD from Nz Sale, and it was the cheapest one I had seen around

Step two:
Chose the plants you want to go in the terrarium.
My terrarium ended up smaller than I thought so I could I only for one succulent in.

Step three:
Depot you plant and place it in your terrarium.
Ok, I kind of butchered this step, but to be fair I don't think the plant I brought was the healthiest to start with.  I also did it inside a plastic bag to save the mess from the soil

Ta da, thats it. It' so easy, but the results are so cute! Mine is sitting on my coffee table. I will absolutely be making another, but next time with a bigger bowl, so I can fit more plants in, and won't crush them.

Washi Tape wall prints:

I also made my own wall prints, and place them up with washi tape. Prints from online are super dooper expensive, so I designed my own on the computer, printed it and put it up on the wall with some Washi tape. I plan to create a wall display, and try to add the prints onto card to make them a bit more secure!

Hope this gave you some ideas, and thanks for reading!

Beauty and Homeware Haul | Farmers, Typo, Onceit, NzSale

Beauty and Homeware Haul

Hi Beauties!

So this week i'm back with a beauty and homeware haul, which, lets be honest is my favourite type of post!

First off I ordered from typo, and I picked up these yellow knitted cushions for the bed for 2 for $30 which I thought was a really great deal, and the cushions are great quality!

Another typo purchase from the website, this wee plate was only $2NZD and the detailing round the side is really lovely, and I believe they have them in a few other colours as well.

This baby pink scarf was also from Typo website, except it was from Cotton on. Another $2NZD bargain purchase! Its really snuggly and warm for winter!

This is also from Typo, my sister picked up this pug magnet for me, and it is too cute! I believe it was pretty cheap as well!

Another Typo purchase I got from NzSale were these heart chalk board peg clips, for just $2NZD! It did take a bit to get here, but they are really great in that you can write on them with chalk, and I can think of a ton of uses for these!

These minty/turquoise mini suitcases are also from the Typo sale on NzSale, and were only $10NZD, which I thought was a great deal for a set on 3. The inside is a super cute spotty print, and I think they will look really lovely for storage.

I also grabbed this cushion from Kmart for $10NZD! I love the gold metallic polka-dots, and it accompanies the other cushions really well.

Wew, I managed to buy a lot of bedding! This grey throw is from Farmers Department Store, and was on half price sale for $12.50NZD. This blanket is the softest thing I have ever felt, I am in love!

These coasters are from the warehouse, and were a bank breaking 97 cents! The set of 4 comes in  grey with pink, orange, yellow and white accents, and say 'Home is where the heart is'. Pretty Sweet!

Another warehouse purchase, this gold mini candle stick holder was $3NZD, and I thought it was a great deal and goes great with my other one!

I finally got my hands on a Smashbox Santigold eyeshadow palette from Onceit for I believe around $10NZD. The packaging is really beautiful, and I love the colours as well!

Review of the FujiFilm Instax Polaroid camera

Instax Review

Hi Beauties!

I was lucky enough to get an instax camera in pastel pink for christmas, and I am absolutely in love with it! Mine came in a kit with a pouch, as well as a set of 10 film and a wee cardboard frame for $99NZD, which is a pretty good price. I love having the ability to instantly print photos. It has a few different settings for indoors, cloudy, sunny and super bright, although I haven't quite mastered these yet.

The photos are pretty good quality, and develop after a few seconds. They also look really cute on the wall or a mobile photo hanger. Overall I am obsessed with my instax, and love the colour options they come in!
